ABOUT COMMON CORE
The COMMON CORE STATE STANDARDS [CCSS] initiative is a state-led effort to establish a single set of educational standards for kindergarten through 12th grade in English Language Arts/Literacy and Mathematics based on the best research and the highest state standards across the country and internationally. These standards are designed to ensure that students graduating from high school are prepared to go to college or enter the workforce and are competitive in the emerging global marketplace. This important effort will help CMS prepare EVERY CHILD EVERY DAY FOR A BETTER TOMORROW!
