At Selwyn we are intentional about a school-wide focus on developing good character. Each month we promote a different character trait through direct instruction, classroom activities, class meetings, and service learning. Several students are chosen as "Kids of Character" every month for consistently demonstrating the current character trait. At the end of each month we gather with the rest of the school for an assembly to celebrate our learning and development of each trait. One way to reinforce the character education traits being explored at school is by continuing the discussion with your family at dinner, in the car, or at bedtime. Each month you can click below the current character trait for conversation starters to use at home.
